| Description: | The Senior Designer's purpose is to develop and enhance LWR's communication with its key audiences in service of its mission and to ensure consistency of LWR's branding and visual identity. The person in this position serves as the senior designer for LWR publications, marketing materials, and electronic communication, ensuring consistency of branding and visual identity across all LWR materials. |
| Duties: | - Work closely with Communications team members and other staff to develop consistent, innovative design for LWR's communication and marketing materials. These include, but are not limited to, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, advertisements, event collateral, ads, web graphics and formatted electronic communications.
Manage production schedules and budgets for multiple simultaneous projects; work with colleagues to set goals, develop concepts, determine objectives and meet deadlines. Reinforce brand identity through graphic design and ensure that all materials produced meet LWR's brand guidelines and visual identity standards Hire and supervise freelance designers and agencies as necessary. Prepare pre-press materials for print and production. Manage printers, photographers, vendors, and suppliers, including bidding and contracting for work under LWR's Procurement Guidelines. Responsible and accountable for engaging US Lutherans effectively in the work of LWR and ensuring that LWR's work in marginalized communities is of the highest quality and integrity. Familiarity and compliance with LWR's safety and security procedures and protocols when traveling. Willingness and ability to contribute to LWR's New Business Development initiatives. Engagement in ongoing professional development Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

| Qualifications: | - Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationship with colleagues and partners
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in visual communications, graphic design or related field Five or more years of relevant experience (nonprofit or agency experience a plus) Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Suite software; proficiency with Flash, PowerPoint, word processing, email, and web browser software Proven track record of successful brand or identity management Thorough technical understanding of printing methods and print production Familiarity and comfort with faith-based organizations Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to maintain strong professional relationships with a diverse range of colleagues in different locations. Highly creative, with strong conceptual skills Proven organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Able to adapt to changing circumstances in a busy environment Demonstrated ability to take initiative, set and meet deadlines, and follow through on projects and policies
