Senior Network Administrator

Description: The Senior Network Administrator oversees successful execution of complex and business critical IT projects and activities at LWR HQ and covers for the Senior IT Director in his/her absence.  The Senior Network Administrator provides hands-on task execution at all levels including: user support, system deployment, maintenance, security, documentation, policies, asset management, software/hardware troubleshooting and patching. He/she provides thoughtful input into broader organizational IT planning efforts.


1. Manages HQ IT infrastructure

  • Responsible for LAN management (AD, Group Policies, printing, storage) and system security in cooperation with network service provider

  • Deploys new hardware and software (user PCs, servers, VMs)

2. Communicates and collaborates with other departments
  • Serves as the technical and communications liaison between IT and other departments with regard to communications, initiatives, needs assessments, etc.

  • Work cross-collaboratively with other departments/units to adjust focus of projects and ensure achievement of business objectives

  • Communicates with overseas audience

3. Manages and provides technical support
  • Provides technical support for Regional IT Support Centers and addresses escalated cases

  • Monitors and facilitates Internet usage at LWR field offices

4. Manages/ensures operations of key LWR systems
  • Manages cloud storage and knowledgebase system

  • Coordinates Phoenix Update Board activities for Salesforce and manages system development and changes

  • Manages, maintains and provides support for SAP Business Objects system

  • Provides technical support for Raiser’s Edge system

  • Provides technical support for all LWR approved software applications

  • Develops documents using SAP Dashboard system

5. Develops IT documentation, policies and training materials
  • Designs and provides training to LWR users

  • Develops training materials (video, documents) and system documentation

  • Develops and maintains systems documentation and operations manuals

  • Emulates and promotes IT best practices within and outside of the organization

  • Develops and enforces system policies, and procedures

  1. Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.

  2. Bachelor's degree in information technology, business information or a related field, plus seven (7) years of related experience, or equivalent combination

  3. Four (4) years providing active user support, of which two (2) years includes remote office workers

  4. Three (3) years managing Active Directory, Group Policies and Storage

  5. Two (2) years managing: network security, computer imaging, cloud storage, Hyper-V, asset management, writing policies or procedures

  6. Two (2) years developing training materials, system documentation & manuals

  7. Two (2) years working with Windows registry editor and Power Shell, preferred

  8. Three (3) years development and maintenance of Salesforce, preferred

  9. Experience with SAP Business Objects, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Cisco-Meraki, VBA/VBS, preferred
