Lutheran World Relief Employee Benefits


Paid Time Off Benefits

  • Up to 24 days of vacation per year, based on position type; 14 days to start for nonexempt positions/ 20 days to start for exempt positions

  •  11 paid holidays

  •  12 sick days

  •  2 personal days

Retirement Plan

The organization has a 403(b) plan. LWR contributes 9% of employee’s salary figure into your retirement plan every pay period.

The vesting period is as follows:

  • Employees who have completed one year of service are 25% vested.
  • Employees who have completed two years of service are 50% vested.
  • Employees who have completed three years of service are 100% vested.

Health Insurance

The organization pays approximately 85% of the health, dental and vision premiums for employees, spouses and legal dependents. Employees are eligible to participate in the health benefits on their first day of employment.
