| Description: | The Marketing Project Manager (MPM) is responsible for coordinating the design, implementation and evaluation of strategic marketing projects (both short- and long-term) which seek to meaningfully and measurably engage LWR's target audiences. The MPM functions as part of the Marketing team to evaluate current marketplace data, conduct ongoing audience research, manage vendor relationships and coordinate strategic marketing recommendations for the agency. Supervised by Director of Marketing, the MPM creates and manages components of LWR's direct mail program, online websites and stores, and advertising portfolio. |
| Duties: | - Manage components of LWR's annual marketing plan, as well as secondary marketing and fundraising plans for specific audiences.
- Coordinate the creation and implementation of marketing and advertising plans designed to reach and/or exceed quarterly and yearly marketing and fundraising goals.
- Develop systems to monitor and analyze effectiveness of marketing efforts; develop and execute adjustments as needed to meet marketing goals.
- Manage outside vendors and production talent, as needed, to produce marketing projects and meet organizational goals.
- Track and manage components of advertising and publications budgets within Marketing cost center.
- Identify new promotional vehicles and suggest strategies that harness these established and emergent marketing opportunities.
- Manage a wide variety of tasks from multiple internal stakeholders, negotiate priorities under the guidance of the Director of Marketing; communicate priorities and deadlines to internal stakeholders.
- Responsible and accountable for engaging US Lutherans effectively in the work of LWR and ensuring that LWR's work in marginalized communities is of the highest quality and integrity.
- Seek alignment of LWR's mission, vision, and values with a marketing mix that is compelling, relevant, measurable and effective.

| Qualifications: | - Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
- B.A. required, preferably in a related field such as marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Demonstrated success managing detail-oriented projects and ensuring that all parties involved participate with competence, timeliness and excellence.
- Able to set short- and long-term planning goals in line with strategy.
- Ability to analyze budgetary information and assess organizational capacity. A task-oriented style, with focus on achieving clear and ambitious goals.
- Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization. Able to develop and move projects forward with a high degree of independence and autonomy.
- Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Vendor management experience, preferred.
- Experience working with Sphere, Kintera or constituent relationship management system (CRM), web content management system (CMS), or eMarketing solution, preferred.
- Superior interpersonal skills, including telephone communication. High comfort level contacting and meeting new people. Ability to work in a multi-cultural context.
- Superb constituent relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, e-mail, and web browser software.
- Record of accomplishments and results in non-profit, cause-related or for-profit marketing, writing, and production. At least 3 years of experience.
- Applied knowledge of marketing and communication theories and tactics.
- Experience working with internal and external consultants for graphic design, web development and video production.
- Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.
- Familiarity with Lutheran church structures and church member motivations and sensitivities, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Spanish or French, preferred.
