| Description: | The Project Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Lutheran Malaria Initiative and the External Relations Department. S/he will coordinate and facilitate communication and activities within the LMI among all partners and participants-The LCMS, the UN Foundation, campaign counsel, LWR, volunteers, and LMI constituents. S/he will assist LMI staff with data entry, writing, research, and reporting as needed and will be a liaison between external constituencies and LWR LMI lead staff. |
| Duties: | - Coordinate communication and flow of data/information among LMI management teams, external fundraising consultants, other consultants, LCMS team members, and/or LWR Africa team; create agendas; take, edit, and disseminate meeting minutes; track action items and communicate with those responsible for completing action items; schedule and set-up conference calls; where appropriate, set-up automated systems and calendars for monitoring progress towards benchmarks.
- Provide administrative support to and collaborate closely with the Campaign Director and Outreach Manager to ensure project milestones are met, particularly project milestones relating to constituent engagement; provide day to day assistance and support to LWR staff to offset expanding responsibilities due to the initiative/other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate with the Outreach Manager the management of various LMI public email accounts, responding to inquiries and requests; call churches or individuals where necessary to help them with their LMI efforts.
- Enter contact information into Raiser's Edge after LMI events, speaking engagements, and conferences; track additional follow-up, note requests, and help facilitate follow-up mailings when appropriate.
- Provide narrative for and editing of reports and pieces for publication, including topics and content for social media; write drafts for donor letters and other mailings.
- Schedule meetings, managing all meeting logistics, including space reservations, technical equipment, supplies, food, car rentals, and travel where needed; help staff coordinate travel for events and conferences when needed and ensure staff have supporting resources needed for such travel.
- Provide staffing at events, meetings, conferences, and speaking engagements where necessary. If travel is required - Familiarity with LWR's safety and security procedures and protocols.

| Qualifications: | - Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
- B.A. required, preferably in a related field such as international development, communications, or public health.
- Strong time management, organizational, planning and administrative skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, e-mail, and web browser software.
- Demonstrated success managing detail-oriented projects and demonstrated success ensuring that all involved in project complete tasks on time.
- Superior oral communication and interpersonal skills, including telephone communication. High comfort level contacting and meeting new people. Ability to work in a multi-cultural context.
- Superb customer-relationship management skills.
- Experience with international Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or public health programs preferred but not required. Experience with faith-based non-profits - especially Lutheran - and/or fundraising activities desirable.
- Fluency in French is highly desirable.
- Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce.
- Familiarity with Lutheran theology, church structures, and church member motivations and sensitivities preferred.
