Associate, Donor Services

Description:The Associate, Donor Services provides administrative support and project coordination and/or management related to LWR's fundraising and donor relations efforts with specific responsibilities in areas of gift processing and both constituent and philanthropic engagement. This position has the important responsibility to provide an excellent experience for LWR constituents.
Duties:
  1. Assist in preparing gift batches for entering (this includes gift coding) into LWR's constituent database (Raiser's Edge) following established protocol for gift data entry and acknowledgement.
  2. Prepare and mail gift acknowledgement letters, following identified best practices and LWR guidelines and protocol.
  3. Enter new data or cleanup existing data in the Raiser's Edge database following established protocol for RE data entry. 
  4. Ensure new donor welcome packets are mailed bi-monthly.
  5. Assist the Philanthropic Engagement staff as needed and serve as the liaison between Donor Services and Philanthropic Engagement.
  6. Manage administrative tasks for several projects, including Quilt Plaza, LWR Monthly Giving Program, Global Impact workplace giving campaigns and state registration dates and other projects and tasks as assigned. Based on interest and available time, there is an opportunity for this position to expand his or her role in these projects.
  7. Monitor and maintain information concerning planned (deferred) gift inquiries, arrangements and completions. Coordinate with Philanthropic Engagement.
  8. Manage office supply inventory and ordering, postage and postal accounts, general LWR honor and LWR gift card inventory and fulfillment and other supplies.
  9. Maintain safe-keeping of all original (includes hard copy) donor files and records. This includes gift history, donor correspondence, donor database and contact reports. Must be able to access and retrieve information quickly and easily.
  10. Provide customer service report by responding to donor's inquiries and questions.
  11. In coordination with the Donor Services Manager and prioritized within other responsibilities, the Donor Services Associate has the opportunity to participate in, coordinate and/or manage projects associated with increasing an excellent constituent experience for the LWR audience based on the skills and interests of the selected candidate.
Qualifications:
  1. Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
  2. Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  3. Two to four (2-4) years related experience
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word & Excel
  5. Working knowledge of Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge database
  6. Strong data entry skills
  7. Experience with and commitment to working in a very diverse workforce
  8. Detail-oriented, with strong organization and planning skills
  9. Task and process-orientated
  10. Commitment to a high degree of accuracy
  11. Experience in fundraising and donor services/relations environment preferred
  12. Strong customer service skills
  13. Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills
  14. Good communication and writing skills
  15. Commitment to maintain confidentiality
  16. Project coordination and management skills
