LWR is currently recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for an anticipated Feed the Future Livestock Market Systems Activity in Kenya funded by USAID.
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will guide the technical direction of the M&E approach and strategy. The M&E Specialist will be responsible for high-level strategies for data quality assessment, use, and learning as well as operationalization of the project's M&E systems.

Duties:
 
  • Manage the project's monitoring and evaluation activities. This will include guiding the technical direction of the M&E approach and strategy; as well as oversee and coordinate work related to monitoring and evaluation activities of the project.
     
  • Understand donor requirements and ensure required data for donor reporting is available.
     
  • Support the development and implementation of ICT-enabled M&E system.
     
  • Oversee baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation consultants.
     
Qualifications:

  • Deep commitment to LWR's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Bachelor's degree (Masters preferable) in evaluation, public policy, quantitative economics, and/or related field is required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of international development projects
  • Demonstrated experience using a mix of informational sources and research methods to analyze project progress, communicate findings to a range of external and internal stakeholders, and apply learning to work planning.
  • Experience in West Africa region is highly desirable.
  • Experience on agriculture-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of different M&E tools, approaches, and methods in addition to experience working with grant making organizations.
  • Working experience in training, coaching and mentoring teams in monitoring-related techniques and methods.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
